We had our ultra sound today and we are so happy to announce it's a healthy boy!! Everyone is really excited, although, later, Kaedyn DID inform us that she doesn't want a baby brother, she wants a baby sister! I explained to her we couldn't change that fact and she will enjoy being the only girl and will love having a baby brother. She accepted that answer and now keeps asking if she will get to hold her baby brother after Christmas! (We have told her the baby will be here after Christmas and she seems to "understand" this concept!) She is "aware" that her baby brother is in Mommy's belly and she talks about how she used to be in my belly. Our niece, Kasey, recently had a baby and she was around Kasey alot right before the baby was born. Afterwards, I was holding Adam (Kasey's baby) and Kaedyn said to Kasey, "That's your baby? You don't have a baby in your belly anymore?" I must admit, I was a little surprised that she understood this concept! These kiddos understand more then we give them credit for!
Ethan, is, OF COURSE, ECSTATIC to have a baby brother! He went to the doctor with me a couple of weeks ago and heard the heartbeat, which he thought was pretty cool! He said it sounded fast and strong!:) We scheduled the ultra sound at that time and I told the doctor Ethan had put in an order for a boy. The doctor then said to Ethan "Does that mean if it's a girl, we are going to send her back to the factory?" Ethan smiled slyly and said, "Yeah, maybe! There is too much girl stuff at my house already!" Speaking of Ethan, he was in another show last weekend. He was actually recommended by one director to another for this part which was pretty cool! It was with a different studio then he usually works with and he had a great time. It was "101 Dalmations-the musical" and he played Pongo-the Daddy Dalmation. It was really cute. I will post pics later-I have not downloaded them, yet! He starts voice/piano in the fall along with his acting and tae-kwon-do. He wants to play the drums, too, but I told him he was already too busy!!
David is still enjoying his new job and I am so happy about that! Of course, he says if he could get paid to sit on a beach with a drink in his hand, he would rather do that, but this will do! Ha! Me, too, Buddy!
I am feeling good-a little tired, but I guess that is to be expected when you are expecting a baby, working full time, and taking care of two children (and a husband;)). I have not been near as "sick" with this baby and I am SOOO greatful for that! It is true when they say every pregnancy is different! I am so excited to meet this little guy. He was very active during the ultra sound and although I only feel his "big" movements right now, I wonder what this means for the near future! If he continues to be that active, things could get quite interesting!:) Until next time...
