Anything Mom Can Do....

So, I have had a re-occurring nightmare ever since Kaedyn began to grow hair. In my dream, she finds scissors and cuts off all of her hair. Maybe it is the hairstylist in me. Maybe it is the fact that I have waited to be able to put my daughter's hair in darling braids and styles ever since she was born. I made the comment on Monday about how excited I was that her hair was getting so long! It was past her shoulders! I think I jinxed myself.
Tuesday morning, I was in my room and I thought Kaedyn was watching T.V. with Ethan. She came into my room and I went into hysterics. (Maybe its partly due to the hormones?) She had cut her hair!!! Apparently, she had found the dog grooming kit. I keep a pair of old shears in it. She went to town! She cut her bangs almost to the root, there is a section on top of her head that is about an inch long, and she cut her hair off at the neck line in the back! I was devastated! I called Dave in hysterics and all he heard was "Kaedyn" and "scissors" and he thought, by the way I was acting, she must have impaled herself and must be bleeding to death!!! He held in a laugh when he figured out what had happened (smart man) and tried to calm me down. After I was able to calm down enough, I took Kaedyn into the bathroom, took "before" pics and then tried to clean up the mess. It would be a cute cut for her, if it wasn't for the huge chunks missing! Anyway, one for the books, definitely! I will look back and laugh, I am just sure of it...right now I laugh to keep from crying! Ha! I know, its only hair! This girl is going to keep me on my toes for the rest of my life, I think! My new nightmare is that the baby I am carrying is a girl and her big sis is going to think SHE needs a haircut someday!! Enjoy the pics!
