So, I am not very good at keeping up with this "blog thing" but I am going to try to do better! It has been a busy couple of months but things are slowing way down now that the holidays are over. A little too slow at work, but it will pick back up again by the end of February.
December started off with a bang. David's birthday was December 3rd-the big 4-0! It was quiet-he made me promise not to make a big deal out of it. We found out about the loss of our baby a week later. We were, of course, devastated but all of the support and sweet words from our family and friends helped us through. We are doing okay now and look forward to the future and trying again. The doctor wants us to wait a few months which would be around March but that would make my due date sometime in December and since we are sooo busy around Christmas, I don't think that would be quite fair. So we are going to wait until May to start trying. Gives me a few more months to try to get this extra weight off, too!

December 14th was the performance of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and I have to say...it WAS the BEST!!! Ethan did a great job and, it felt amazing as the director to watch everything fall into place. There were about 400 people in the audience-our sanctuary was standing room only! It was a true blessing.
David and I celebrated 4 years of marriage on December 18th. I am incredibly blessed to be married to such an amazing husband and wonderful father. We went to dinner and it was so nice to take time for us during the craziness of the holiday season.
Christmas was truly one of the best I have had in a long time and I have to admit, that came as quite a shock to me. I thought I might be a little sad as it came closer, and although I did have a few "twinges", it was wonderful. The only part that was really sad is the fact that Anita, my mother-in-law, moved to South Carolina and was not able to join us for the holidays this year. We really missed her.

I sang with our praise band at the 11:00PM service like I do every year. There was a 4 piece string quartet and it was lovely. We sang O Holy night (The Celine Dion version-we had a soloist and we backed her up) and I had goose bumps the whole time. That service is my "Spiritual Christmas". It is when I get to breathe and feel the Spirit surround me. I get to be still and give thanks to God for the miraculous birth of our Saviour. Ethan fell asleep in the pews at the very beginning and Kaedyn was back in the nursery. She was still running around wide awake when we went back to pick her up!
Christmas morning was full of surprises-Ethan got a really cool keyboard and Kaedyn got lots of Disney Princess dress-up "stuff". She is a different Princess every night and Ethan is composing new songs all the time! What fun. Christmas at Aunt Marilyn's with Dad's side of the family was so much fun! My cousins both have children now, which makes 4 great-grandchildren, and my cousin Abbey has another one on the way. Christmas was great with all of the kids. It brought back alot of energy and excitement. I loved it! Next Christmas, there will be 5 with the possibility of another one on the way! ;) Christmas at Mom's was the next day and it was crazy and busy and a lot of fun, too. We played Dirty Santa and had a ball. Ethan, Kaedyn and my nephew Sam had fun, even though they were starting to tire out from all of the "Christmas Chaos". Christmas is about love, and sharing the joys and love of Family was truly the theme this year.
I am sure most have stopped reading by now. I guess if I would post more often, I wouldn't have to write novels...I will do better. I hope everyone has a New Year filled with laughter and joy. Peace.

you are doing great with blogging, maybe not as often as those of us with addictions - but still great! I love to see pictures!
Christmas was incredible - It makes me wonder what we did at Christmas before Ethan?
I am so glad you posted the pictures of Kaden covered in diaper cream! My daughter Audra continues to berate me about having pictures of her doing messy or embarrassing things like that, but you have to get the camera, right? It is just too priceless to let go. Keep up the blogging. You're doing great.
