Long time, no post!

Yes, it has been awhile since my last post. We have had a great but busy couple of months! So, a quick update: In February, we made a quick trip to Texas for my cousin Jamie's son's 1st birthday. It was a wonderful time with family celebrating this little guy's birthday. Not to mention the fact that Jamie and Carl are the WORLD'S BEST hosts! They have a lovely home and go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. We were all together again at Easter and the kids had a great time hunting for Easter eggs. It is just so much fun watching all of our kiddos play together! Ethan is 8 and does really well with all of the little ones. Kaedyn is almost 3, Brendan is 2 and John Ryan is one. I keep waiting for the day he becomes "too cool" but luckily it hasn't happened yet! The family keeps growing! Brent and Abbey (cousins) are expecting a baby girl the end of July! Yea! Kaedyn will have a little girl to play dress up!:)

Ethan had a school program in March. His class danced to "I Love Rock and Roll!". It was great. He had a good time and did a great job. He is still in acting class. They are rehearsing for a show that will be performed in May. They are doing a shortened version of "A Mid Summer Night's Dream"! He LOVES it! I can't believe these 8-10 year olds are doing Shakespeare and enjoying it! "Mid Summer" holds a special place in my heart because David proposed to me at that show at the park. (Cue everyone: "AWWWWW") Ethan sang a duet with a little girl in church this past Sunday. (She is the girl with the red bandana in the pic with him-it was "Camp Sunday".)He really has a great voice. If I can figure out how to edit the video, I will add a little bit of it to the blog. He is also still doing Tae Kwon Do with Jeff and loves it. He is doing well in school. He has a "girlfriend" named Alyvea. (Yes, I spelled it right!) She is a very cute, bright little girl and I think she challenges Ethan, which is good for him. They are in Enrichment together.

Kaedyn will be 3 in a few weeks and I can't believe it! She is turning from a toddler into a little girl before my very eyes. It seems to be going a lot faster than it did with Ethan. Sometimes, I just want to freeze time and put them both in a bubble so they stay the way they are right now forever! But, it is exciting to watch them grow. Kaedyn is talking up a storm, now. She has a hard time pronouncing some of her letters. She can't say "K" so her name is "Taedyn Mawie Tawr". We have to be careful to not mimmick her because it IS pretty darn cute! It is interesting how different she is from Ethan. Ethan came out of the womb pronouncing everything correctly but he was not NEARLY as coordinated as Kaedyn is at nearly 3 years old. Her hand-eye coordination amazes me. She is FEARLESS. She jumps and climbs and runs and thinks nothing of it. Ethan was always a little more cautious. She loves to dance and sing and she loves Princesses. She sings Disney Princess songs all the time. She also sings her ABC's, but that is not near as much fun as "Once Upon A Dream" from Sleeping Beauty.

I turned 32 a week ago and I have decided to be okay with being "in my 30's"! My birthday was low-key. David and the kids took me to dinner and it was fun. I am still working with the drama team at church. I wrote a dramatic presentation for the drama team to perform on Maundy Thursday. It went REALLY well. We performed it at our church Thursday and another church on Good Friday and our church is actually requesting us to do the same thing again next year because it was so moving. I was really nervous, so I was glad it went over so well! I have written several scripts for our drama team and I am considering writing a book of scripts. It is really hard to find decent material for Christian Drama. Leading this team has been such a blessing for me.

David is still in school. He is doing really well! He got a 100 on his mid-term this past week. Such a smarty-pants. I tell him all the time that it is a good thing he is taking these classes on-line because he would be getting spit-wads thrown at him if he was in an actual classroom! He hates it when I brag about him but I can't help it-I am a proud wife!

We went to the Festival of the Arts tonight and it was an amazing evening. The weather was perfect! I am so incredibly blessed with a beautiful, healthy family and I was reminded of that again tonight as we all got sticky over Indian Tacos, Turkey legs, and Strawberry Newports.

I will try to stay updated but I make no guarantees!
